Police charge pair over aggravated burglaries and attempted carjack of police car in Keysborough

Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two teenagers following an alleged series of aggravated burglaries and an attempted carjacking of an unmarked police car in Keysborough overnight.

The Noble Park teenagers, aged 17 and 19, were charged with theft of a motor vehicle, home invasion with an offensive weapon, aggravated burglary with a person present, attempted aggravated burglary and attempted aggravated carjacking.

The 19-year-old appeared at the County Court of Victoria today and has been remanded to appear at court on 24 January 2020.

The 17-year-old is expected to appear at a children's court at a later date.

The charges follow an alleged series of aggravated burglaries and attempted carjacking of a police car in Keysborough last night.

The investigation remains ongoing.
