Police charge teen after Cobblebank stabbing

Transit detectives have charged a 16-year-old boy following a stabbing in Cobblebank.

Officers were called to a railway station about 1.15pm on Thursday after reports of a stabbing.

An 18-year-old Cobblebank man was located and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested a 15-year-old Melton South boy and a 16-year-old Point Cook boy in relation to the matter.

The 16-year-old has been charged with recklessly cause serious injury, intentionally cause serious injury, assault with a weapon, commit indictable offence while on bail and other offences.

He has been remanded to appear at a Children's Court at a later date.

The 15-year-old was released pending further enquires.
