Police charge teen after Keilor firearms incident

Fawkner Embona Taskforce detectives have charged a teenager following an alleged firearms incident in Keilor earlier this week.

It is alleged three people broke into a property on Patterson Avenue about 1.30pm on Wednesday, 9 November.

Police will allege they threatened a 22-year-old woman before stealing the keys to a Holden Commodore.

A 28-year-old woman then confronted the offenders as they were trying to steal the vehicle, before they threatened her with a firearm.

They drove off in the Commodore and another vehicle.

Police arrested three people on Jeffrey Street in Campbellfield yesterday afternoon and recovered the allegedly stolen Commodore.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with 25 offences including aggravated intentional exposure to police officer to risk by driving, prohibited person possessing a firearm, trafficking firearms and aggravated carjacking.

He will appear at a children's court.

During the arrest, a 22-year-old Bundoora man was bitten by a police dog and suffered minor injuries.

He is currently under police guard in hospital.

A 35-year-old Broadmeadows woman was charged with possession of drugs and was released on bail.
