Police charge teen with murder - Killarney Vale

A teenage boy has been charged with murder following an investigation into the death of an elderly man on the Central Coast earlier this year.

About 9.55am on Thursday 10 February 2022, emergency services responded to reports the body of a man had been located inside a house on Pendant Parade, Killarney Vale.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended and found a 77-year-old man with critical injuries. He died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and forensically examined by specialist police.

In March this year, detectives from Tuggerah Lakes Police District formed Strike Force Apollo and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following extensive inquiries, a 16-year-old boy attended Wyong Police Station about 11.30am yesterday (Friday 3 June 2022) where he was charged with murder.

The teen was refused bail to appear at a Children's Court today (Saturday 4 June 2022).
