Police charge teens after returning to scene of crime in Clyde North

Narre Warren police were quick to arrest two teenage boys after they returned to the scene of an aggravated burglary in Clyde North on Sunday 21 November.

It is alleged two males attended a residence on Monument Boulevard and stole keys from a parked car before entering a garage and attempting to steal a car about 5.30am.

The offenders then attended a residence on Scenery Drive in Clyde North where it is alleged a car and bike were stolen.

It is also alleged the offenders broke into a number of cars in the area.

Casey detectives were on scene at Monument Boulevard reviewing CCTV when they observed the alleged offenders drive by in a stolen vehicle just after 6.30am.

The Narre Warren van intercepted the youths and after a short foot chase arrested the pair nearby.

A 16-year-old Cranbourne boy and a 17-year-old Clyde North boy have both been charged with two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of theft from motor vehicle and theft of motor car.

They will both appear at a children's court at a later date.
