A woman and two men will face court following a pursuit in the state's west yesterday.
About 1am on Monday 29 December 2025, officers attached to Barrier Police District were patrolling on Wills Street, Broken Hill, when they located a white hatchback allegedly being driven in a dangerous manner.
When the driver failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated.
The pursuit continued through to the intersection of Iodide Street and Lane Street, Broken Hill where the vehicle came to a stop and police arrested the alleged driver – a 39-year-old woman – and her two passengers – men aged 22 and 18.
They were all taken to Broken Hill Police Station, where the driver was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously and negligent driving.
She was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 on Monday 29 December 2025, where she was refused bail to appear at Broken Hill Local Court on Wednesday 14 January 2025.
The 22-year-old man was charged with an unrelated offence on break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000.
He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 on Monday 29 December 2025, where he was refused bail to appear at the same court today (Tuesday 30 December 2025).
The second man was also charged with an unrelated offence on contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (Domestic) and common assault (DV).
He was refused bail to appear at Bail Division Court 4 on Monday 29 December 2025, where he was granted conditional bail to appear at Broken Hill Local Court on Friday 23 January 2025.
