Police Charge Three After Southbank Incident

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man and two women after an alleged ramming of a police car in Southbank on 1 August.

It is alleged a stolen Toyota Corolla rammed a police car in Balston Street about 10.20am.

A 27-year-old Bayswater man and a 42-year-old Mount Waverley woman were arrested at a supermarket on Spencer Street, Docklands on 18 August about 6pm.

Officers then attended an address in Wingate Avenue, Ascot Vale where a 39-year-old woman was also arrested.

The 27-year-old man has been charged with aggravated intentional exposure of police officer to risk by driving and other offences.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 11 November.

The 39-year-old woman has been charged with theft of motor vehicle and bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 14 November.

The 42-year-old woman was released pending further enquires.

The officers in the police car were not seriously injured.
