Police charge three over aggravated break and enters near Tamworth

Two men and a teenager have been charged following an investigation into two alleged aggravated break and enters near Tamworth this week.

Between 9.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesday (21 July 2020), police will allege three males entered a home on Rupari Drive, Nemingha, and stole various items including a television and two guitars.

It's further alleged the trio drove an unregistered silver Ford SUV to a home on Valleyview Grove at Nemingha and forced entry, before stealing a wallet and other items.

Officers attached to Oxley Police District were notified of the incidents and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, officers from Oxley Proactive Crime Team stopped a silver Ford Territory SUV in East Tamworth shortly after 10pm yesterday (Thursday 23 July 2020).

During a search of the SUV, police located several items believed to be stolen.

Two men – aged 18 and 21 – were arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station.

The 18-year-old man was charged with break enter and steal in company

He was bail refused to appear before Tamworth Local Court today (Friday 24 July 2020).

The 21-year-old man was charged with Receiving Stolen Goods. He was granted conditional bail.

A 17-year-old girl was dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.

Following further inquiries, police arrested a 17-year-old boy at a motel in Tamworth about 7.45am today (Friday 24 July 2020).

He was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter in company steal

The teen was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Friday 24 July 2020).
