Police Charge Two After Ascot Vale Stabbing

Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men following an alleged stabbing in Ascot Vale over the weekend.

It is alleged a man was stabbed following an altercation on Mount Alexander Road about 1.30am on 2 March.

He was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police arrested two men at the scene, and they were taken to hospital under police guard.

A 33-year-old Altona North man has been charged with intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury, unlawful assault and affray.

A 46-year-old Avondale Heights man has been charged with affray.

Both men will appear at Broadmeadows Magistrates' Court on 19 July, 2024.
