Two men will appear in court today charged after allegedly detaining another man during a home invasion in Sydney's west overnight.
About 10.50pm (Monday 28 December 2020), police were called to a unit on Atkinson Street, Liverpool, following reports of a break-in.
Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command responded and located a 35-year-old man inside a unit, who had been bound and gagged.
Following a subsequent search of the complex, two men – aged 28 and 32 – were arrested.
A red Holden Commodore was seized from Speed Street, Liverpool, and will undergo forensic examination.
The men were taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence, take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm, and enter inclosed land not prescribed premises without lawful excuse.
The pair were refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court today (Tuesday 29 December 2020).
The male occupant was taken to Liverpool Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
