Police charge two following Tarneit assault

Taskforce Wayward detectives have arrested two people in relation to an assault in Tarneit on 10 May, Victoria Police say.

It’s alleged a 19-year-old male was assaulted by a group of people at a sport facility on Penrose Promenade about 3.40pm.

The man suffered injuries to his face and head during the incident; he is now in a satisfactory condition.

A 17-year-old male from Point Cook and a 15-year-old boy from Tarneit have been charged with affray, intentionally cause injury and assault by kicking.

The two males will appear at a Melbourne Children’s court at a later date.
