Police charge two men after attempted murder in Dandenong

Greater Dandenong Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men with attempted murder following a stabbing in Dandenong in January.

The pair, aged 19 and 22-years from Dandenong, were each charged this afternoon with attempted murder, intentionally cause serious injury in circumstances of gross violence and intentionally cause serious injury.

The charges follow an extensive investigation into an incident in Hammond Road and report to police that a group of men assaulted a man on Wednesday 29 January about 3.30pm.

The 24-year-old victim was taken to hospital at the time with life-threatening injuries.

It is expected the men will appear at Dandenong Magistrates' Court this afternoon.
