Police Charge Two Men After Home Invasion In Clayton

Monash Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged two men following an alleged home invasion in Clayton and an evade ending in Endeavour Hills this morning.

The two males allegedly forced entry through a front door and made a demand for car keys at a property in Marshall Avenue, Clayton about 12.45am.

One of the occupants was allegedly assaulted before the duo fled the scene in the victim's stolen Mercedes.

Air Wing spotted the Mercedes come to a stop in Aldridge Street, Endeavour Hills and observed two people exit the car.

The men were arrested in Cardigan Street about 1.20am.

The pair, aged 19 and 23 both from Dandenong, have been charged with home invasion, theft of motor vehicle, theft and assault with weapon.

They will appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.
