Police charge two men with affray after brawl at Bankstown

Two men will face court today following investigations into a brawl that occurred at Bankstown last night.

Police were called to Chapel Road South about 6.45pm (Tuesday 28 August 2019) following reports a brawl had broken out between a number of men at a services station.

On arrival officers located a group of men involved in a physical altercation.

Officers separated all parties and arrested two men aged 19 and 26.

The were all taken to Bankstown Police Station where the younger man was charged with affray, common assault and breach of bail.

The older man was charged with affray, common assault and being armed with intent to commit indictable offence (knife).

Both were refused bail and will appear in Bankstown Local Court today (Wednesday 28 August 2019).

An 18-year-old man suffered a cut lip and was treated at the scene.
