Police charge two over fatal stabbing at Erina - Homicide Squad

A man will face court today, the second person charged by Homicide Squad detectives investigating the alleged stabbing murder of a man on the state's Central Coast earlier this year.

About 8.50pm on Thursday (3 February 2022), emergency services were called to Karalta Road at Erina, following reports a man had been stabbed.

On arrival, police located a 42-year-old man suffering a stab wound.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, could not be revived and died at the scene.

The man has since been formally identified as 42-year-old Shahn Baker.

Initial inquiries were conducted by officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District, before the matter was referred to detectives from the State Crime Command's Homicide Squad under Strike Force Bleat.

As part of ongoing inquiries, strike force investigators attended a home in Erina shortly before 3pm on Monday 28 March 2022.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested and has since been charged over her alleged role in the murder and remains before the courts.

Following further inquiries, detectives attended a correctional facility at Silverwater about 9am yesterday (Monday 11 April 2022).

A 28-year-old Berkshire Park man was arrested and charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Gosford Local Court today (Tuesday 12 April 2022).
