Police charge two people after aggravated burglary

Police have charged two people in relation to an aggravated burglary in Sandy Bay yesterday.

In the early hours of the morning, an occupant in a private residence in Sandy Bay disturbed a male offender inside the residence.

The man fled the residence with a quantity of stolen property.

The occupant was not physically injured.

Police quickly responded to the incident and identified two suspects.

Hobart CIB yesterday conducted several searches and located a large amount of the stolen property, and the two alleged offenders.

An 18-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, both from Hobart, have been charged with Aggravated Armed Robbery and Aggravated Burglary. Both were detained to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
