Police charge two teens after woman assaulted and robbed - Wolli Creek

Police have charged two teenagers following investigations into an assault and robbery in Sydney's south-east at the weekend.

About 11.20pm (Sunday 9 June 2019), a 21-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle in a carpark on Mount Olympus Boulevard, Wolli Creek, when two males demanded her handbag.

The woman attempted to walk away from the males, however the pair grabbed her by the arms and handbag, before she was thrown to the ground after trying to fight them off.

One of the males kicked her to the stomach and chest multiple times until she let go of her bag, and both ran away.

The pair ran from the carpark into Spark Lane and left the scene.

Nearby security officers contacted police, before officers from St George Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

The woman was taken to St George Hospital to be treated for minor injuries to her stomach and back.

About 9pm last night (Monday 10 June 2019), a vehicle was stopped by police on Broughton Street, Campbelltown.

Officers arrested two teenage boys, both aged 14, and took them to Campbelltown Police Station where they were charged with robbery in company.

They were both refused bail and will appear in Campbelltown Children's Court today (Tuesday 11 June 2019).
