Police Charge Woman After Mildura Collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a woman following a fatal collision which occurred in Mildura last year.

Investigators have been told a Mitsubishi Lancer and Kia Sportage collided at the intersection of Deakin Avenue and Twentieth Street culvert about 4pm on 15 September.

The Kia driver, a 55-year-old Mildura woman, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Her passenger, a 79-year-old Mildura man, was taken to hospital where he later died.

The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 67-year-old Mildura woman, was also taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Today detectives charged a 68-year-old woman from Mildura with dangerous driving causing death and failing to give way.

She has been bailed to appear at Mildura Magistrates' Court on 13 July.
