Police charge woman after Point Cook fatal house fire

Arson and Explosives Squad detectives have charged a woman with murder and arson causing death following a fatal house fire in Point Cook yesterday morning.

The 46-year-old woman was arrested by detectives this morning in Airport West.

She has been charged with three counts each of murder and arson causing death.

The charges follow a fatal house fire in Totem Way on Wednesday morning about 3.40am that claimed the lives of a 19-year-old woman, 28-year-old man and a three-week-old baby girl.

Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to the matter.

The matter will be heard at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later this evening.
