Police charge woman after quantity of methylamphetamine found in car at Bathurst

A woman has been charged after a quantity of methylamphetamine (ice) was seized during a car search near Bathurst.

About 1am yesterday (Sunday 7 July 2019), police attached to Chifley Police District were patrolling the Great Western Highway at Kelso when they stopped a 29-year-old woman travelling west towards Bathurst.

Police conducted a vehicle search, uncovering a quantity of a prohibited drug, believed to be methylamphetamine.

She was arrested and taken to Bathurst Police Station where she was charged with supply prohibited drug.

The woman was granted bail and will appear before Bathurst Local Court on Monday 22 July 2019.
