Police Charge Woman After Road Rage Incident At Bega

A woman will face court tomorrow following the death of a man in an alleged road rage incident in the state's south.

About 12.30pm on Monday 31 August 2026, emergency services were called to Newtown Road, Bega, following reports a man had been struck by a vehicle.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 73-year-old man at the scene before he was taken to South East Regional Hospital in a serious condition.

On Tuesday 1 September 2026, police were notified that the 73-year-old man had died in hospital.

Following inquiries, about 8:20am today (Wednesday 7 October 2026), officers executive two search warrants: one at a home in Wyndham and one at a business in South Pambula.

During the searches, police seized a silver Holden SUV believed to be associated with the investigation, along with a number of other items that will undergo further forensic examination.

A 41-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Bega Police station where she was charged with manslaughter.

She was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court 3 tomorrow, Thursday 8 October 2026.
