Police Charge Woman After Serious Crash - Rose Bay

A woman will face court charged following a serious crash in Sydney's east today.

About 3.30am (Saturday 26 July 2025), emergency services were called to New South Head Road, Rose Bay, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command attended and found a Rolls Royce and a Mercedes had collided head on.

The driver of the Mercedes – a 52-year-old man – was trapped in the vehicle before he was freed by Police Rescue assisted by Fire and Rescue NSW.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a stable condition.

The driver of the Rolls Royce – a 23-year-old woman – was not injured.

She was subjected to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.

She was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station where she allegedly refused to undergo a breath analysis.

She was charged with cause bodily harm by misconduct, in charge of motor vehicle and refuse or fail to submit to breath analysis.

She was given conditional bail to appear before the Downing Centre Local Court on Friday 15 August 2025.
