Police Charge Woman After Stabbing At Port Macquarie

Detectives have charged a woman as they continue to search for a man following the alleged stabbing of another man in Port Macquarie last week.

About 1.25am on Friday 2 January 2026, emergency services responded to reports of a stabbing at a service station on Gordon Street.

Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics who treated a 30-year-old man suffering a stab wound. He was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition and has since been airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident commenced under Strike Force Lonerock.

About 6.30pm that day, officers executed a search warrant at a unit on Gordon Street, Port Macquarie. A 27-year-old man was arrested at the unit and later charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. He remains before the courts.

Following inquiries, including a public appeal for information, detectives arrested a 23-year-old woman on Lake Road, Port Macquarie, about 2pm today (Friday 9 January 2026).

She was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station.

The woman was charged with three offences – assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company of others, affray and owner of dog not under control in a public place.

The woman was refused bail to appear before Bail Division Court, tomorrow, Saturday 10 January 2026
