Police charge woman over aggravated robbery - Mt Druitt

A woman has been charged over allegedly assaulting and robbing a woman in Sydney's west today.

About 3pm (Saturday 11 January 2020), police will allege that a 57-year-old woman was crossing the street on Luxford Road, near Carlisle Avenue, in Mt Druitt when she was approached by another woman.

The second woman allegedly pinched her face and punched her several times before knocking her to the ground and stealing cash from her wallet.

The 57-year-old woman suffered facial and back injuries.

Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Shortly after, a 25-year-old woman was arrested nearby in Mt Druitt.

She was taken to Mt Druitt Police Station, where she was charged with aggravated robbery.

The woman was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 12 January 2020).
