Police charge woman with 11 DV-related offences at Liverpool

A woman is due to appear in court today charged with 11 domestic violence-related offences after a man and a child were allegedly assaulted at a home in Liverpool overnight.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command were called to the home unit on Olive Street about 10.30pm (Tuesday 21 July 2020), following a report that a 40-year-old man and a six-year-old boy had been assaulted.

Officers arrested a 44-year-old woman at the unit and took her to Liverpool Police Station where she has been charged with 11 offences,

• Assault occasioning actual bodily harm (three counts)

• Stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (three counts)

• Common assault (five counts).

Police will allege the offences have been committed over a six-week period.

The woman has been refused bail overnight to appear in Liverpool Local Court today (Wednesday 22 July 2020).
