Police charge woman with drug supply at Albury 29 January

A woman has been charged with drug supply in the state's south.

In December 2020, Strike Force Birriley was established by detectives from Murray River Police District to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs in the Albury area.

Following extensive inquiries, about 9.30am yesterday (Thursday 28 January 2021), detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Lavington.

Investigators seized methylamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, explosive devices and prohibited weapons. These items will undergo forensic examination.

A 25-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Albury Police Station, where she was charged with 17 counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis and owner/occupier knowingly allow use as drug premises.

She was refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court today (Friday 29 January 2021).
