Police charge woman with high-range PCA at Shellharbour

A woman has been charged with multiple offences including high-range PCA after allegedly failing to stop for officers in Shellharbour yesterday.

About 5pm (Sunday 23 June 2019), officers attached to Lake Illawarra's Traffic and Highway Patrol Command attempted to stop a Hyundai Elantra travelling north along Shellharbour Road, Barrick Heights.

Police will allege the Elantra pulled over and drove off again, three times.

A short time later, officers arrested the driver, a 45-year-old woman, on Antrim Avenue. She was subjected to a roadside breath test which proved positive.

She was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where she was subjected to a breath analysis, that allegedly returned a reading of 0.255.

Additionally, the woman was allegedly involved in a domestic related incident earlier that day in Shellharbour.

She was charged with drive with high range PCA, resist officer in execution of duty, not stop vehicle when directed to do so, three counts of destroy or damage property (DV related) and stalk/intimidate/intend fear of physical harm (DV related).

She was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Port Kembla Local Court on Wednesday 26 June 2019.
