Police charge woman with malicious damage to multiple vehicles at Randwick

A 43-year-old Randwick woman has been charged with 15 offences relating to malicious damage of multiple vehicles across Randwick during the year.

About 10.45am on Wednesday 25 September 2019, police were called to an incident on Fern Street, Randwick, where a witness had seen a woman damaging cars.

Police approached the woman and cautioned her.

Upon further inspection, police from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command located six more damaged motor vehicles – with wiper blades either bent or snapped off.

Officers took the woman back to Maroubra Police Station where she admitted to causing similar damage to other cars in the area between the months of July and September 2019 – with the majority of offences occurring on Coogee Street, Randwick.

The woman has since been charged with 15 counts of Destroy or Damage Property – less than $2000 by the Eastern Beaches Property Response Team.

The woman was granted conditional bail and is due to appear before Waverley Local Court on Wednesday 16 October 2019.
