Police charge youth over break in, replica handguns seized - Northern Beaches

Three replica firearms have been seized by police investigating a break and enter in Warriewood last week.

On Thursday 11 July 2019, a 16-year-old boy allegedly broke into the garage of a unit on Macpherson Street, Warriewood, and stole items including a wallet and credit card from an unlocked vehicle.

Following inquiries, the Northern Beaches Pro Active Crime Team executed a search warrant at a home in Mona Vale yesterday (Tuesday 16 July 2019), and seized clothing and three replica handguns.

The teen was arrested and taken to Manly Police Station where he was charged with break, enter and steal, dishonestly obtain property by deception (x2), and possess unauthorised pistol (replica).

He was granted conditional bail to appear at a children's court on Tuesday 27 August 2019.
