Police concerned for man missing in West Hoxton

A large ground search is underway for a man missing in West Hoxton.

Vishneel Karan, aged 34, was reported missing after failing to return from bushland yesterday (Thursday 30 July 2020).

Police were told Mr Karan was last seen entering bushland around 6pm in Western Sydney Parklands near Moondara Drive, West Hoxton.

Police hold grave concerns for his welfare due to existing medical conditions and because he has not contacted family or friends.

Mr Karan is described as being of Indian Sub-Continental appearance, of medium build, with black hair and a dark beard. He was last seen wearing a navy-blue jacket with NYPD on the back, dark blue jeans and white sneakers and was carrying a backpack.

Polair, the Dog Unit, and bicycle police conducted extensive patrols earlier today, with officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command coordinating a further a search of the area, with assistance from SES.
