Police continue to investigate Bridgewater shooting, TAS

Detectives are continuing to investigate a brutal targeted attack in Albion Road, Bridgewater, on Sunday night where a 24 year old man was shot in the stomach, Tasmania Police say.

"The person or people responsible have not yet been found," Detective Inspector Craig Joel said today.

Today police divers searched the Jordan River near Gagebrook looking for items important to the investigation.  The search is ongoing.

"There has been a great deal of information provided to police by the public and detectives are working through this.  A search was conducted today in nearby parkland and waterways for items that may help us identify the people responsible," Detective Inspector Joel said.

"Detectives would remind people of the blue Holden Commodore that is a key piece of the puzzle.  The vehicle was later recovered burnt out but this vehicle is distinctive and may have been captured by CCTV in the local area or around Hobart."

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
