Police Continue To Investigate Broadmeadows Affray

Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate an affray in Broadmeadows yesterday afternoon.

Numerous calls to Triple Zero (000) were made for a Kia and Volkswagen Golf allegedly driving erratically around Dimboola Road about 5pm.

It is alleged the Kia rammed the Volkswagen multiple times before both vehicles drove on the wrong side of Pascoe Vale Road and subsequently collided with a civilian vehicle.

The victim got out of one of the vehicles and was stabbed to the upper body.

The 20-year-old Broadmeadows man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Four males were arrested and interviewed in relation to the incident.

A 15-year-old and 17-year-old from the Hume area, a 23-year-old Romsey man and a 24-year-old Sunbury man were released pending further enquiries.

It is understood a number of people left the scene prior to police arrival.

The investigation remains ongoing.
