Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman in Officer this morning.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Harmony Place and Bridge Road just before 10am following reports a woman was injured and there was a house fire nearby.
A yet to be formally identified woman, believed to be aged in her 50's, died at the scene.
The man initially assisting police with their enquiries, for matters not directly related to the death of the woman, has now been released without charge.
The exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage and detectives will await the results of a post mortem.
