Licensing Regulation Division investigators continue to investigate reports of a gunshot in the Port Melbourne area yesterday, Victoria Police say.
The incident happened when attendees at a go-kart track meeting reported hearing a gunshot being fired into the area at 12.30pm.
Police attended a near-by gun club and requested the club close pending an investigation.
Investigators are currently reviewing security footage of the club’s activities and speaking to all members who were present on the day.
No one was injured in the incident.
