Police continuing to investigate tyres slashed in West Hobart

Police are continuing to investigate a significant number of vehicles which had their tyres slashed overnight in West Hobart.

Police have received reports of 33 separate vehicles which had tyres destroyed in the areas of Browne Street, Lochner Street, Pine Street and Hamilton Streets.

Any West Hobart resident in the affected area who hasn't yet checked their vehicle for damaged is urged to do so, and to report any damage to police on 131 444. If a vehicle owner identifies damage, they are urged to not organise repairs or a tow until after police have attended and taken a report and photos for evidence.

Anyone from around the affected streets who may have CCTV or dash cam footage that would assist investigators is asked to come forward. Information can be provided to police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
