A police custody officer from the Southern Metro Region has been charged following an internal investigation.
The 52-year-old female PCO has been charged with unlawful assault and assault with a weapon.
The charges relate to an incident that occurred while the member was on duty on 20 January, 2022.
The PCO has been summonsed to face court later at a later date.
