Police execute warrants and arrest youths for multiple thefts

Investigators from the Mill Park Serious Crime Taskforce and Brimbank CIU executed warrants and arrested eleven offenders in relation to alleged thefts from multiple electronic stores in late October.

The arrests are part of Operation Liege which is an effective state-wide operation targeting group thefts at retail, electronic and telecommunications stores across the state.

Investigators executed a total of nine search warrants in Tullamarine, Sunshine, Sunbury, Derrimut, Melton South, St Albans and Kings Park on November 4.

During the search investigators located stolen property from alleged thefts that occurred in Preston on October 16, South Morang on October 22 and Springvale on October 23.

A 16-year-old teen from Melton South has been charged with theft and handle stolen goods and was remanded in custody.

A 14-year-old teen from Deer Park has been charged with handle stolen goods and commit an indictable office whilst on bail and was remanded in custody.

A 16-year-old teen from Keilor Downs has been charged with theft and handle stolen goods, commit an indictable office whilst on bail, deal proceeds of crime and state false name and was remanded in custody.
