Police hope CCTV footage will identify motorbike thieves

Melbourne Divisional Response Unit officers are hoping to identify two men after a motorbike was stolen from a property in Richmond last month.

It's believed two unknown men entered a driveway on Dover Street about 2.20am on Tuesday, 16 March.

The pair wheeled the victim's 2008 red Ducati Hyper Mortado bike out of the driveway before placing it in the back of a waiting white Toyota HiAce van.

The van, bearing cloned plates, then took off in an unknown direction.

Police have released CCTV and images of two men they believe can assist with their enquiries.

The first man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, about 180cm tall, medium build, aged in his 20s or 30s with brown hair.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket, grey pants, black shoes and a black Melbourne Aces cap.

The second man is described as having a large build, about 175cm tall and was wearing a black cap, black Under Armour jumper and black tracksuit pants.

Police have also released images of the stolen Ducati Hyper Mortado and Toyota HiAce van in the hope someone may recognise them and come forward.

Anyone who recognises the men or with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or file a confidential report online at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
