Police Hunt Clues in Katherine Aggravated Burglary 5 July

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information after an aggravated burglary occurred in the vicinity of the industrial area in Katherine East this morning.

Around 3am, police received a report that three buildings, including an armoury at a government facility had been unlawfully entered by unknown offenders in the industrial area of Katherine East.

Inside the armoury, the offenders allegedly stole an amount of ammunition, with no firearms reported stolen. NT Emergency Services was also targeted, with the offenders attempting to steal rescue equipment. The offenders fled after police responded to the alarm.

A crime scene was established, and investigations are ongoing.
