Police Hunt Clues in Katherine Aggravated Robbery 18 December

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Katherine last night.

Around 8:55pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an assault and stolen motor vehicle from an address on Lucy Street.

It is alleged as a female resident was opening the gate to her property, a group of up to three male youths approached her. Two were allegedly armed with edged weapons and one was armed with a blunt weapon, which he used to strike her to the head. The offenders stole her vehicle and fled the scene.

Emergency services attended and the victim was conveyed to Katherine District Hospital by St John Ambulance.

Police attended and began investigations. The stolen vehicle was located abandoned on Callistemon Drive and has been seized for forensic analysis.

The offenders remain outstanding at this time.
