Police Hunt for Stolen Vehicle in Alice Springs 12 September

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a motor vehicle that was stolen in the early hours of this morning in Alice Springs.

Around 2:25am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre (JESCC) received a report of an unlawful entry at a residence in Gillen.

It is alleged a group of at least four youths wearing hoodies, three of which were armed with edged weapons, entered the residence via the rear door and threatened the 68-year-old male occupant. The offenders stole car keys and the victim's wallet before fleeing the scene in a red 2017 Holden Commodore sedan.

The victim was not injured during the incident.

Police responded and subsequently sighted the vehicle south of The Gap and successfully deployed tyre deflation devices, deflating one tyre. However, the vehicle and offenders remain outstanding.
