Inner West detectives are appealing for information following an alleged attempted kidnapping in St Peters earlier this year.
Just after 1.15pm on Friday 29 August 2025), officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were called to Campbell Street, St Peters, following reports three men were acting suspicious.
Police stopped and searched a vehicle on Campbell Street and seized a machete, cable ties, duct tape and an electronic stun device.
Following the search, Inner West detectives commenced Strike Force Paaradice to investigate the alleged attempted kidnapping.
Four men – two aged 23, a 43-, and 44-year-old man – have since been charged over the alleged incident and remain before the courts.
As investigations continue, police are hoping to speak with a man who was seen in the area at the time of the incident.
The man is described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, with a dark coloured moustache and was last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and white sneakers.
