Police investigate after man suffers gunshot wound - Mt Druitt

Investigations are underway after a man presented at Mt Druitt Hospital with an ankle injury.

About 7.45pm (Saturday 25 May 2019), a 19-year-old man from Oakhurst attended a hospital on Railway Street, Mt Druitt, after suffering a gunshot wound.

The man has since been transferred to Westmead Hospital where he is reported to be in a stable condition. His injury is not considered life threatening.

Officers from Mt Druitt Police Area Command attended and commenced investigations.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
