Police Investigate Armed Robberies At Toowoomba

Police are investigating two armed robberies in Toowoomba last night, May 1.

Initial investigations indicate around 10.30pm, two males entered an address on Anzac Avenue, Drayton whilst armed with a knife and firearm.

They threatened the occupants, a woman and child, demanding keys and money before leaving the scene in a dark sedan.

The woman and child were not physically injured.

Around 11pm, the two males entered a residence on Magpie Drive, Cambooya and threatened the occupants, a man and woman.

They assaulted the man and stole a Mitsubishi Lancer and personal items before fleeing.

The man sustained minor injuries.

Preliminary investigations also indicate the same group were involved in the theft of Toyota Prado around 9.40pm from a Harristown service station.

Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or information is urged to contact police.

Investigations are continuing.
