Police investigate armed robbery at Albion

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a restaurant in Albion last night.

At around 9.15pm two men went inside the business on Albion Road and approached a female employee whom they threatened with a knife and a taser.

One of the men then approached a male employee and took his wallet, laptop and phone from a nearby table.

The men forced the man and woman into a backroom before taking a key to the cash register and removing a sum of money from the till.

They then fled the scene on foot southbound on McDonald Road.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

The men are described as Caucasian and were both wearing black hoodies, black tracksuit pants, and had black masks across their faces.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with further information to come forward.
