Police have charged an 18-year-old man following the armed robbery of a tobacco store in Chinchilla on 23 August.
It will be alleged about 5.45pm, the man entered the business on the Warrego Highway armed with a knife and carrying a black backpack.
He then approached a female employee demanding she fill the bag with cigarettes.
When she refused it is alleged the man tore down a screen divider and jumped over the counter.
He then proceeded to fill the bag with a quantity of cigarettes before jumping back over the counter and leaving the store.
The employee was not injured.
On 24 August police executed a search warrant in Chinchilla allegedly locating the man and a bag containing the stolen cigarettes.
An 18-year-old Chinchilla man has been charged with one count each of enter premises with intent to commit, robbery and wilful damage.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in the Dalby Magistrates Court today, 25 August.
