Police have charged a man following the armed robbery of a pharmacy at Coolangatta this morning.
It will be alleged that at approximately 7.15am, a man attended the Marine Parade chemist, threatened staff with a knife and demanded medication.
Employees complied and the man then allegedly locked himself in the staff kitchen.
Police were called and attended the business where officers forced entry to the meal-room and arrested a man.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
A 23-year-old Lismore man has been charged with two counts of stealing and one count of armed robbery.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow, 15 October.
