Police investigate armed robbery at Forest Lake

South Brisbane detectives investigating the armed robbery of a bus driver at Forest Lake last night (Wednesday, July 28) have released CCTV and are appealing for public assistance.

Around 9.45pm a bus was parked at a bus interchange on Forest Lake Boulevard when a man armed with a tomahawk entered.

The man threatened the 66-year-old male driver, who was the sole occupant, pushing him several times in the chest before stealing a sum of cash.

He is described as African in appearance, approximately 175cms tall, aged between 20 to 30 and had a solid build. He was wearing a yellow coloured hooded jumper (possibly hi vis) and had a black mask covering his face.

Anyone with any information which could assist with inquiries, or drivers with relevant dash cam vision, is asked to contact police (details below).

The bus driver was not physically injured.
