Police investigate armed robbery at Hawthorne

Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery of a teenager in Hawthorne last night.

Around 7.30pm, a 17-year-old Wynnum teenage boy was sitting in his vehicle in a car park on Oak Street in Hawthorne when he was approached by two unknown men.

One of the men threatened the teenager with a handgun and demanded he get out of the car. The teenager was then pulled from the vehicle, onto the ground.

The two men then entered the vehicle and drove down Park Street and right into Mullens Street towards Riding Road.

The teenager was not physically harmed during the altercation.

Investigators are appealing for anyone who may have information or has seen a 2013 silver Mitsubishi Mirage (pictured below) bearing Queensland registration plates 504 YWA to contact police.

The two men are described as Caucasian, and about 175cm tall.

Investigations are continuing.
