Police investigate armed robbery at Kangaroo Point

Detectives are investigating the armed robbery of a hotel in Kangaroo Point overnight.

At around 7:30pm a man entered the business on Main Street, armed with a knife.

The man demanded money from a staff member in the gaming area of the hotel before fleeing the scene with a sum of cash.

He was last seen running along Main Street, in the direction of the Storey Bridge.

No one was physically injured during the robbery.

The man is described as Caucasian, approximately 170cm tall, of a medium build with a fair complexion, short dark hair and aged in his early 30s.

Anyone with information or dash cam vision from Main Street at around 7.30pm is urged to contact police.
